Security in Charge of CSO South Colonel Ata Ur Rehman also joined us in our celebrations. The presence of Pakistan Rangers added a special magic to the ceremony. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the flag hoisting ceremony which saw everyone saluting to the proud symbol of Pakistan. The school was decorated with green and white balloons. The teachers and the school administration were also clad in green and white attire, reflecting a sense of belonging with Pakistan. Students of Early Years and Primary Years exhibited national pride by performing various skits and tableaus that depicted Pakistan’s struggle for freedom. Lower Primary students shared some facts about Pakistan and Upper Primary students sang a medley of their favourite national songs to which the audience sang along, waving their hand held flags. Lt. Col Muhammad Farooq Ahmed appreciated the students’ performances and teachers’ hard work. He said, “We came here to motivate you but you ended up motivating us”. At the end of the event, Lt. Col Muhammad Farooq Ahmed gave away gifts to all the participants. Class V put the icing on the cake by planting saplings to contribute towards a healthy and clean environment after the event.
