Kuala Lumpur: Beaconhouse Sri Petaling captured interesting moments of children being engaged in a variety of activities, which showcased their creative skills. The act of innovating boosts young children’s ability to analyse and solve problems in myriad ways. While creating, students were engaged, focused, learnt perseverance and they experienced the feel good moment with their peers. Children were given opportunities to make simple creations that worked on their motor and sensory skills. Resources were provided to stimulate their imagination. Drawing, fun cookery, splashy paint and hunting for treasure were some of the fun and exciting activities conducted to help children’s emotional well being, which is necessary as they are only in the first month of the academic year. These activities encourage collaboration as they entail taking turns, becoming independent in following routines, interacting, engaging in meaningful relationship with adults and peers, controlling emotions, developing a positive image and having a sense of ownership over their creation. The teachers facilitated their activities and ensured full participation.
