Gujranwala: The Pakistan Design for Change School Contest is part of a global initiative that encourages school children to identify and find solutions to challenges in the world. The purpose of this contest is to enhance creativity among students and teach them to take charge of problems around them.

Students of Beaconhouse Palm Tree Campus (PTC) also participated in this contest. Haleema Tallat, Sameen Zahra, Hira Fayyaz, Bazla Jawad and Armeen Ansar from the Girls Campus submitted the story titled, 'Healthy Village,' based on their experiences during workshops conducted in the Gujranwala District. Their story was selected as one of the winning entries.

The students were deeply concerned to see the lack of cleanliness in a village in the Gujranwala District and decided to conduct a workshop for the villagers. They taught methods of water purification, with special emphasis on maintaining personal hygiene and keeping the surrounding areas clean.
