Gujranwala: On March 5 and 6, the hallways of Palm Tree Campus Gujranwala were filled with aspiring diplomats and future politicians. Yes, it was time for PTC to host its very first Model United Nations!

Organised by Ayesha Butt, Head of the Literary Society, the event comprised two days of intense debates as delegates to the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly held firm on their country's stance, while also discussing various hot topics such as terrorism and Iran's nuclear programme.

The committee chairs consisted of Mr Aitzaz Rehman Sheikh and Ms Rija Irfan, who had come all the way from Lahore. At the end of the event, the delegates from South Africa and the UK were crowned winners in the UNSC and GA respectively.

The Chief Guest for the event was Barister Ehtsham Ameeruddin. Participating schools included LGS Gujranwala, BSS Wapda Town Campus, BSS Sialkot and PAC. The delegates thoroughly enjoyed their experience with many of them hoping to return next year.

Students enthusiastically take part in the first-ever PTCMUN
