Peshawar: A day trip to Attock Khurd was arranged by Beaconhouse Frontier Campus Girls’ Branch in collaboration with the KPK Tourism Company on April 10, 2019. Around 130 students from Classes VI-IX, coupled with seven teachers and a number of security guards, departed from school for the Peshawar Cantonment Railway Station at 8:00 am and thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely train ride. They appreciated the opportunity to learn about the cultural, ecological and historical heritage of the country. Students reveled in the beautiful scenery of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. First item on the itinerary was the uphill trek, which had left the students red with smiles beaming off their faces. Then, everyone went to the coastal side to play games such as tug of war, archery, and flying kites. They stopped for a picnic to recharge their batteries for some more fun learning. Students visited the eastern bank of the Indus River, dipping their feet in the historic water and taking memorable pictures of the scenery. Alas, the fun came to an end when the pupils embarked the train once again and headed off back to Peshawar with weary heads, droopy eyes but happy hearts.
