Karachi: Class V had enough of the varying threats to mother nature and decided to do something about it. This year, with the help of their Science teacher, the students set their mind on making their own kitchen garden that finally bore fruit on April 9, 2019. The students used this opportunity to promote recycling and reusing the plastic water bottles for pots among their peers. Students worked in pairs and investigated which crops would grow well if sowed in the winters. They planted chilies, eggplants and tomatoes. The students watered them on a regular basis and due to this project they have also learned that if you take care of something, it builds and grows into something fruitful. The wonderful efforts of the teachers and students proved that some lessons are learnt best outside the classroom.
