International Earth Day 2018 News Story

Lahore: Students at Beaconhouse Defence Campus joined the international community to celebrate International Earth Day 2018. Students of Classes VIII and IX displayed great zeal and enthusiasm by participating in different activities for Earth Day which included poster making, panel discussions and poem writing. During a special assembly presentation, the two classes came together to commemorate Earth Day 2018. The presentation included informative speeches, poetry recitals and role plays that discussed facts about earth, the importance of preserving the environment and some creative solutions to save our natural resources of the Earth. Our artists availed the opportunity and reflected their ideas through drawings and posters that have been displayed in the classrooms.

Beaconhouse Defence Campus distributed tree saplings to students and staff for them to plant in their homes in continuation of the collaborative 'Go Green' tree plantation campaign, launched by Walton Cantonment Board.

Next Generation Pakistan, held a presentation for O Level and Middle School students at BDC. The three speakers, Ayesham Khan, Noor us Sahar, Laiba Mubashir discussed the ecological problems that hurt our urban environments. Our students enjoyed the presentation and engaged the speakers with insightful questions and comments after the presentation.
