Multan: Nursery students made a model of a volcanic mountain out of clay, stones, gravel and dried leaves in a creative lesson. The students painted the volcano red, green and orange.

The model was an eruption was simulated using a mixture of soda bicarbonate and vinegar. Food dyes were used to impart different colours to the oozing lava.

The students were amazed to see the colourful mixture flowing out of the top of the model volcano. They asked interesting questions about volcanoes and the eruption of lava and were eager to repeat the activity.
